What do we need

As it has been explained in the previous post, who we are, what we are about and now the big question, "What do we need?"

It is very important to us that you guys partner with us in this. The most important need we have is, for saints to be constantly lifting this whole thing up to the Lord in Prayer. We have two months before this we get on that bus and embark on our journey but before that time arrives. There are alot of admin things that need to be taken care of and we will be updating you on what specific things to be praying for.

Currently, we are each raising support for this trip. Friends please be praying with us, urging the Lord to graciously provide so that we may all be able to go and serve.

Secondly, we do not know the kind of environment we are going to be in so we need to be prepared. Pray that God would be working in our hearts and preparing us. Pray that our attitude towards the outreach to Mozambique to be a pilgrimage, and not a tourist outing.

Thirdly, Pray that the Lord build up the whole ‘team’ (those who go, and those who support us) through this mission outreach.

Last but not least, Pray for the project that Jinx and Dawn have coming up and that is the construction of the home for a missionary couple that will be joining them soon. Pray that God would provide the funding that to happen and that it may be successful.

And if you would like to support us in anyway, please do not hesitate to email any of us:

GRACE AND PEACE BE WITH YOU ALL IN ABUNDANCE

What time is it? What day is it?

WHAT TIME IS IT? THE TIME OF THE LORD'S FAVOUR.
It gives me great joy to write this to you guys at this stage of our journey. What journey is this some might be asking? Fear not for I will explain everything to you. I know that some of you have received emails from some of the team members explaining what we plan on doing these coming June Holidays, while the rest of the country will be partaking in what is said to be the biggest event ever hosted in this country, THE 2010 WORLD CUP.
For those of you, who have not heard, well let me fill you in on some details. While the country will be sharing in this ‘glorious event’ I have mentioned above, some of us will be gallivanting around the country of Mozambique, Espungabera to be exact.
Doing what you may be asking yourself? Good question, we believe that this is what Jesus is calling us to, “to go, to give, to live and to die”. What does that even mean? This basically means that we will leave our country and go else where, in this case Espungabera, we will be living there and helping in any way we can. We are partnering with Africa Inland Mission missionaries Jinx and Dawn Reyneke. An exciting project that they have coming up is the construction of a home for a missionary couple soon to arrive in the area. Apart from helping with that we will also take part in working with the kids and students in the area and sharing our lives with them.
You probably thinking, why do all that? (I must say, you are very sharp, asking all these questions.) That is a hard question to answer because the answer varies with each team member; however, it is evident that because of what Christ has done for us at the Cross, His great work of salvation, we all desire to live for Him wholeheartedly. We believe that “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose”. This means we would gladly give our time holidays and money to know God better and to share Him with the people in Espungabera. We feel like this would be an excellent opportunity to grow in our understanding of what full time missions looks like and to share our passions and dreams with people from another country and culture.
If you feel so strongly about this, then why not share with the people watching soccer in the stadiums? Oh please do not get me wrong here, we love our country, we desire that the people here may also come to know Christ and live for Him. We are all involved in some sort of ministry here at home so we are not running away at all. Rather, the team that is going there is a group of people who have a passion for countries, different cultures and people other than our own. We want to go to a different country to engage ourselves with a different culture while seeking to stretch our faith and serve God in a practical way.

WHAT DAY IS IT? THE DAY OF SALVATION
(1 Cor 6:2)
I am so rude, I keep speaking about this team that some of you guys do not even know…
